Our Story
R & R Wirtes Grain has been part of Berkshire County’s farming life for nearly 70 years. It all started when Robert (Bob) and Rosalee (Yvonne) Wirtes ran a large family dairy farm right here in Lanesborough. As the years went on, they shifted their focus to crop farming and eventually built the feed mill that still carries their initials — R & R — in its name.

Today, the Wirtes family continues that tradition, focusing on custom feed milling and quality hay, all with the same honesty, hard work, and neighborly spirit that Bob and Yvonne originally built their farm on.
